HELP DESTIGMATIZING ABLEISM

Time for Change

Welcome to Destigmatizing Ableism TT, a Youth Activist Group aimed to raising awareness on the discrimination faced by disabled youth in the education system of Trinidad and Tobago. Join us, as we help those who face these personal battles. We’ll probe the societal barriers that often go unnoticed, explore the anecdotes of those who experience this form of discrimination and understand our role in supporting them. Our goal is to be an impactful group led by members of the community. We are inspired by the belief that everyday people can shape and mold a society where everyone can achieve their true potential.

Become a part of our movement as we unearth these pivotal issues and construct a culture of saying no to ableism.

ABOUT

Inspired by social movements of the past, Destigmatizing Ableism began in 2021 when a few young persons decided to organize and make an impact. Pretty quickly, this singular moment evolved into a full-fledged movement. Our Activist Group challenges the status quo, holding our leaders accountable and fighting for solutions that will transform society.
